What a semester! Finally it is coming to an end soon...after all the assignments and deadlines. A very experimental semester after all. Tried lots of new stuffs as well as...so glad that the previous abstract works are appreciated to be used commercially> first official freelance work for abstract works. Hope it will get better and more appreciation and acceptance of such works in the design industries!! =)

Some updates of what have been done in school... and soon holiday will come despite there is still one more paper to study :/ ...however it also means time to work on more abstract works~~

FOC has ended. Glad that i joined, had tons of fun meeting new freshies and juniors! Though most of the time i am the ninja disappearing to help out, still it was fun. Especially my OG- Warrior/ !Amanye, a bunch of crazy and lame people! ♥ Soon school is going to start and hopefully these cute and funny freshies will adapt fast and press on! All the Best~

Meantime, I am going back into ninja mode and work on some personal works for that i have been "fired" by my lecturer. Guess this holiday will be just relaxation and chilling as well as self-reflection. ^^ (Finally a time for myself) Some updates on the work before i went for FOC. Clearing and archiving files for my lecturer. =) ABSTRACT ABSTRACT~~!

Time for holiday but it surely doesn't feel like one. Though there are a lot of things to be done, seems a productive holiday but guess all are doing for the sake of doing. Speaking of enjoying, perhaps not much or even one at all. Had this thought that came across my mind, studying are just like putting different groups of people from different social circles together, and when its holiday, all went back into their own small group. Some remains contacting the rest, while some only contact when they feel the need to. And some survived through out the holiday in isolation and doing things they want and like.
One of my friend said: "I choose who i want to be close with and only those that wanted to know me better will come forth close to me..." (something like that). True in a way. Things changes as time goes and as things happened. No point being so nice to everyone. Some just don't appreciate. Guess it's time to survive and depend on own, and do what I really want and like doing. Time to stay firm, strong and be decisive.

Yawn. Finally a post, guess its the 1st post for this semester =/. Its not that i have cleared my assignments or exams, but perhaps just very tired of them. Need some rest, motivation and time to relax. But guess this semester i have been slacking pretty much eh? Procrastinating assignments... But still, it's coming to an end... soon.. 2-3 weeks more and I WILL BE FREE AGAIN~ So going to work a bit and earn some cash for holiday~~ Though haven't really confirm the destination but at least let me breathe some air from outside Singapore– just to recharge myself. =)

Not to slack in the mean time, but just to update one of the assignments which i enjoyed working on, though it's pretty much tiring– spent about 4-5 days overnighted in school and making my eyes see cyan and red. Sho abstract ah? But all in all its cool, learnt some new stuffs. Hope things will be better for many, those in and not in ADM, friends that i couldn't meet up while chiong-ing assignments.

every time during this point of time, i have always felt that time is moving so so fast. It is the point when it is coming to an end of the year and i am 1-year older. thanks to my friends who have made a fun day today- Wendy, Tracy, Zu, Yinfong and Qiyin. And those who wishes me, hope you all are doing well too. Though, i am the type that don't really celebrate birthday since like primary/ secondary school till when i went into uni and met a bunch of awesome friends. THANK YOU!

as usual, continuing to work for my lecturer and doing very experimental and abstract emotion studies using 3D softwares- i like it. it may lack the super sophisticated technical skills like most pro 3d artists, but i just felt intrigued by it as well as the stereoscopic effects. but of all, recently i was helping a friend designing his wedding logo, hmm... it then struck me that perhaps i can go into wedding design/ planning(as i usually like doing so) as well as incorporate animations/motion graphics into the whole package. Including small hand-made gifts for the couples, well, i do like to hands on certain times. Seems like an ideal job to me while at the same time seeing happy people everyday and doing happy things. perhaps an alternate job to consider.

WHY am i doing here NOW?!! when there are tons of work to be done... It all began during one Monday lesson in school and the lecturer talk lots of philosophical things, but they are meaningful and inspiring. Too sudden but it did ring the bell in me... why am i pushing myself so so so hard?? Life isn't all about working, its about enjoying, and living a balanced and healthy life. It sure is weird to hear me say all these things, who don't know i am alway busy, at least that's what i know from my friends, "ouch!" Not a very good thing to hear though. Perhaps really no one thinks i am trying to change though. Oh well... ...But seeing some of my school friends who focused more on outside freelance jobs earning $$, some became slightly rebellious towards the work/ school, most stressing out like mad. It really makes me wonder again, hmm... I do need to live a life of work but as well as play. "Work is just like the plate of your favorite dish; a support, what's crucial is to enjoy the delicacy on it." There is no end to work, but there could be an end to fun and freedom or life. Hope this message will continue to ring in my head, do your best for work but ALWAYS do more usual and find time for your friends and family. Work/ school isn't the only place you can learn things from.

Gwah!! Mid-week in mid-sem, works are coming in like water- overnighting in school at least 2 times per week... locker to house the rations for battle.... probably to sum up the past 8 weeks after school starts: not enough sleep!! But anyway, just some updates on the works done, so that this blog won't be too bored...WAKE UP!! Did quite a few works but well, showing some but so happen a few of them are kind of not entirely related to my major. Lol. More like something i enjoyed doing though- wood carvings and metal sculpture... ...and a poster design for your chosen designer.

Finally the holidays are going to end, few more minutes to 30 Aug, few more hours to start school again. As much as i wanted the holiday to end, but i don't want to go school~ Guess this holiday is really too long, making me really not in the mood to start school. Yet, i am still quite looking forward though it may be a lot of hard work choosing a new major which i didn't really touch on during my poly days... Visual Communication ah... the half-half animator. ^^

Working a lot during this school holiday, didn't update much about this blog too, haiz....will try to post some new stuffs that i am going to do in the NEW major~ Time to get to bed, 9am class!! Woo..

Walalala~ still in holiday mood, so long long long holiday...starting school on 30 Aug because of YOG. Well, back to work for my lecturer after she came back from overseas...

Been sick for the past 2 weeks..WTH! ya..because of playing soccer in the rain.. deadly rain these days. For that, i have been postponing my IPPT twice, zzzz. But i'm back on running again! But IPPT is on next tuesday! Can't be bothered, just go take the test, at least try to get a silver still can have $200.

Did some test on RealFlow and Maya, tried to combine little bit of graphics in.. still experimental phase.. oh well..

Some random design i got inspired from a friend while trying to teach her Maya and some funny jokes in between... oh well..got it printed it out on a tee too.. "everything is under ctrl"

2 weeks have past out of the approximately 3.5mths holiday and i am still trying to work and earn some cash. But yet again, at least i can have alittle more spare time to work on more personal works after so long. Will experiment more different approaches on the works and hopefully to merge 3D with graphic designs or typography. Work, play and exercise~! =)

FIRST entry in the year 2010! It's been quite some time again since i last posted anything, pretty much don't know what to post i guess. Lost? No motivation? Many stuffs? Probably too busy with school work (excuse). Still working on some animation clips for lecturer, been working a little bit while juggling with school work. Too many things going on for the past 12 weeks... still.. in short, Life goes on... ...Wish i had more time to do what i liked and used to do: soccer; played so little during this semester. :( the only time i can forget about all the work, troubles, frustrations and tons of stuffs. : singing; lalala~ where is my singing kakis... and chilling gang...this semester is reeaalllly hectic.. soon it will be over and will be moving on to a new major. YESH, a NEW major!! A lot of confusion and contradiction going on, i chose it, i let it go, now i'm with it. Lots of realisation and finally to nail down on this decision which i will want to work on in future. Something that i aimed to achieve and get into, to be honest, i was lucky. No more stunts from me anymore, focus focus AND FOCUS! Still haven't book my IPPT.. :X well, too much slacking...BUT this doesn't ends here..will get back to shape again after my semester. AIMING for minimum Silver for $200, though can try for Gold, but see how it goes... and hopefully my reservist don't come so fast ah, i want to relax 1st.... Overall this semester, is pretty much like people are difting away and less bonded. Oh well... ...Life goes on..

A Memorable Day

Yesterday was 30 Dec.
Had the most unforgettable birthday. A surprising and stunning one. Thought it will be another simple birthday. As long as it is a happy day, am pretty contented already. Well, basically the plan was going to L4D2 & pool till evening followed by meeting up with NS kakis for dinner and TCC-ing.
An interrupted message to my "team mate" sort of lure me out too...and then... ...

At different phases of life, different friends come and go... some you treasured, some you missed...some continued to stick with you.. Even though it's just a plain day can be made so meaningful. Had well been used to the simple no planning birthday since primary/secondary school...too bad it falls on the holidays. Lol. As each year past, not much a big deal is birthday to me, to be put in words though. As long as it's a happy day, with a few friends around...it's more than enough. As such, felt really stunned and touched by the efforts and time forked out by a bunch of uni-friends who actually went on to plan all the "luring" and "diy-ing"... Had worked out some presents for a few friends that i treasured...the kind of feelings you decided to set your mind to work and deliver it across...it's something not just like buying anything from shops... i felt. Never really have imagined people going so much extend to do all these..takes time and sort.. for people whom i only knew around months? 1 sem= aproximately 3-4mths. Mixed feelings...if a few friends in class...understandable.. about half the class O.O As much as being the spotlight of the day, trying to make people laughs and smiles...is the main aim EVERYDAY!

Meeting up with NS friends was fun as usual...talking crap and "shooting" each other... even if it's just a simple prata session, and drinking coffee at TCC(NAFA)..a place and time to relax and chill... catch up with one another after ORD. Used to do these every weekend during NS times, now...occasionally. Pool-ing sessions with the usual people have sort of become a hobby..once awhile.

Quite some time since i posted something...sadly to say, i got nothing new or much artworks to post.. Have been working for a lecturer during school holiday...work work work.. It didn't seem much like a holiday to me though, but have to work. Trying to save up to buy myself a Macbook PRO, then will be saving up again during the summer holiday working to upgrade my desktop, if i have excess $(which i doubt so) to get a DSLR. Things seem to have not been the way i wanted them to turn out recently, or maybe i think too much. Lots of mixed feelings here and there.. maybe i just needed more motivation, it's burning out fast. Perhaps, i'm just not that good in everything or anything.. most of the things.. ...

I need to get to my old routine of working out, realise i gained a few more "layers" o.O", don't think i will have the time too. Some people say those high positioned designers normally are either very fit or very "ba(4) ba(3)" (no offence). Lol. Haiz... friends asking to meet up to go watch movies, play pool and lan, i wish i can go, but sometimes really need to prioritise my stuffs. Going to school even on holidays and working from 0930-1830 or more.. pure sian-ness, but i learnt quite a few thingy and get in touch back with 3D trying to come up with something after like 1-2 years. Vari naise~! But i think i am still going to viscom, even though there aren't much pleasant feedbacks about going to that major.

Have the feeling to meet up with a friend since quite a long while le, but think neither do both of us have the time to do so.

Time seems to have been running sososo fast!! 1st semester of yr 1 just ended. Today was the last paper. YEA~!(for now) From the 1st time into class, blur blur, anti-social o.O"....then knew afew klicks..to the WHOLE CLASS~! Variii naisseee~ Learnt alot from each other and had quite alot of 'fun' too. Well, 2 times overnight in school already in yr 1, more shall be flowing in~
Glad my class is a bunch of nice and funny people, not as competitive, not as many people with 'masks' and 'knifes'...somewhere which i feel sort of comfortable in. Recently, the class got the information that it will be splitting into different groups again, but this time round too fast and sudden, in the next semester. Suddenly, you find people feeling emo, reluctant...first time i experience the kind of bond a class can have despite its only like less than...half a yr, but in the end was just a system error!! So much so for the roller coaster ride... ...
Anyway, there are more to come, but hope to keep this still going till end of the 4 years! For the time being, i got to go 'hunt' for some gold to be able to sustain for the next coming semester. Meantime, STILL no personal works yet...soon la soon la... :P
Well, 1 semester down, 7 to go...jiayou and keep up! :)

Still, it's the 1 wk term break. Chionging work for past few days. Today, is a day to relax...but things wasn't so pleasant after all. Had so much Fun singing with my uni frens, but the nightmare came after that. F-ungry!! Resulting my gastric activated again. It had been there since during poly days..and it's getting worse i felt. Work work work, irregular meal times...The pain is getting more intense and easier to occur. Went to see the doc, if the pain worsen, guess probably had to do some scanning through some scope from the mouth to the stomach. Though i'm feeling better now, but not in my mind.
Seriously, i have to change this bad habit. Help~~

Hardly had any ideas or things to blog recently..but i have to though. Time really do flies fast, this blog had been here since last year May, Wowow! Well, can't imagine i actually set up one to "force" me to do work. It's sort of effective to a certain extent still. Soon going to ORD, school going starts soon too...still have some admin stuffs to take care of for uni. The exciting kind of feeling isn't there as compared to when poly days and secondary school days...may be i am in NS for too long, after all 2 years detached from study life.. Tsk tsk tsk... Bla bla bla..has to face it still. Whatever the case, study will be the first priority after NS.

Will be on leave from 8 Jul to 17 Jul, perhaps some time to rest, sort out and prepare for the study life again, though still have 2 wks before school starts after i ORD. Thinking of going on holidays... just plain thinking again. Guess I tends to go into thinking mode most of the time..recalling past events, especially days in NS. Seems so so long ago when i step into Tekong the 1st time, looking nerdy-nerdy. Knew lots of kakis here and there, going to drink every now and then. *drink: in this case means go drink coffee and talk, no alcohol included.* Used to sleeping early since NS, wonder if i will still be able to work through late nights like what i did in poly days..like a robot going to school straight without sleep. Now the eyebags are there and STILL there.. well if i don't sleep now, deeper eyebags can been seen. Nights!

No update on artworks temporary. 100% pure sian. Haiz... Staring at the screen, listen to music, randomly type anything that i can think of.

Went to eat at some place that my friend recommend for the 1st time yesterday, had Fish n Chips from Fish Market and Bistro and A single scoop Horlick ice cream followed by a Mini Baked Alaska from Island Cremery. Had fun time eating, food was nice nice..

As usual, went for soccer at NP. Weather was super HOT!! Now my body is burning + a wound at my back. Tripped while playing, think my back brushed against the concrete court. Well, another battle scar added.

No mood, too much worries going on in my mind, even in sleep..these worries come in. Haiz.. Sometimes emptyness fills my mind. Can't think properly. Haiz.

Rubik's Cube

Busy Busy Busy...

Last week, 1st time get to really learn how to play with a Rubik's Cube through one of my colleague. Had always been envious of those people who knew how to play with the Rubik's Cube, yet lazy to learn from the net. Just happen that my colleague and i were suppose to meet up to do work on that day, and its still early before starting work. So he took out a RUBIK'S CUBE, and i started asking questions and "poof"... i spent almost like the whole day together with the cube instead. =P

ITS SO ADDICTIVE!! *when you know how to solve it initially, you will want to try again and again* And so so so... i actually went to buy a new Rubik's Cube on that weekend, $10.90 for a 3x3 cube. Stunned when i saw a 5x5 cube too. o.O" Feels so like trying it out also, but $25.90 was..*ahem* abit ex...especially when comes to near end of the month..

Worth it though, maybe I will still play with it even when im old... to keep my brain from rusting.

Took an off today, a long weekend i guess. But, main aim is to wake up in the morning and finish a piece of work.. Had been stagnant in coming up with works these few days..

Phew! It's over!!! Finally...just reached home this afternoon at about 1pm from camp.. Head feels so heavy as though it might roll off anytime, whole body feeling so hot.. Slight foot rot and rashes on both legs..and some on hands.. so itchy.. Tried to replenish some sleep lost, but couldn't, woke up after flipping here and there for 2 hrs..
No updates on work this time round, tired....physically, mentally, emotionally.

Did some illustrations days ago... thought of adding colours to it.. spend whole day trying to make it look nice in colours... but in the end wasn't very pleased with the outcome.. deleted the coloured working file and redo another........ in grayscale.. which took like less than 1/2 hr zzz....v tired... maybe will add colours some other time.....maybe..

too much work in camp...stayed till quite late busy with so many things past few weeks...sianz...headache... ytd ran 5.4km for the supply challenge competitive run...today wake up legs abit stiff... more more more work going to rush in for the next 2 weeks...in preparation of some event.. AHHHHH~!

Quite some time since i updated. Wanted to start to do something, something to do with typography. Tried to do something related to "i" initially, hmm..sometimes things don't always go the way you wanted it to be, but it can be something good in the end at times. =) So sort of experimented the typography into something else, i guess. Well, doesn't look too dry i hope... instead sort of reflect my current state...

26/9 Friday: Had a hub cohesion at changi's SAF Seaview Chalet. Travelled all the way from CCK, shag.. played some inter-section snap and shoot game. Haha, this is my unit. A bunch of "crazy" guys. The one that is putting the right hand on the waist beside me is my sir. Also very "siao" one.. Lolx. Had fun though. Didnt expect to see such a advertisement, the only "ah long" hanging near at changi ferry terminal.

27/9 Saturday: Just came back from playing soccer, sprained my right ankle again..haiz..think its an old injury. Applying yoko-yoko, hopefully can recover before IPPT.

So fast, August over liao... September now... soon October will come... and December.. Can't wait to get ORD.. but again, worried about all the financial part after ORD...have to borrow $$ from bank to study uni for 4yrs and after that repay the loans to the bank and my father's CPF for the poly's school fees..and the expenses through out. Saving $$ meanwhile to buy a new monitor and some other stuffs.. Hopefully will be able to save out some extra cash for uni's expenses. @_@

Ahoy~! another week gone... more and more tired as getting closer to AHM(Army Half Marathon), 2 more weeks left to do all the preparation for the waterpoint decorations.. involved in the setting up of the waterpoint and also running in AHM..Urgh~! Decide to put a billboard design as one of the deco, painted the foreground tap and glass of water...composited with a photo taken at eastcoast park and some text. zzZ...

So many things to bother and busy with for the past few daysss......mentally too shag.. Feel so much to take sometime out the busy schedule and have a good relaxing break with someone, chat here and there and talk our hearts out...at least temporary get myself off all the workloads. BUT was too busy..don't even had enough time for own use le, how to squeeze time for someone.. so wish got more time to use sometimes...
haiz...just finished some work, took out some tiny bit of time to do a design, Black and White in chinese and english. Life in grayscale for the past few days or weeks...

more pimples poppin out le.. T_T...well, better off to catch some sleep (pretty hard to catch though)...=)

SIANZ...though monday tuesday rest...still sicked. keep coughing... so annoying. haiz... few days ago was still ok, but today voice change so much.. voice breaking again?? Haha.. Perhaps if you call me now you can hear a super low voice (at least much lower than my usual), don't be surprised..it's me. hehehe.. tried to sing along some songs while playing my WMA, no voice come out -.-"

Was looking through the window before going to bathe...saw a very big, round and bright moon with a very bright star beside. (almost same brightness) the other stars are few distance outside their diameter...both seemed so.... close...

"although the moon is accompanied by the star, seem so perfect (star thought). moon is still able to select from a sea of stars, star is always aiming to get a chance to be near the moon on rare occasion alone. moments later (after bathing), moon was covered with clouds, star couldn't be seen...may be already being separated or drifted off by the clouds over time...will star try its very best again just to re-live the wonderful moment with the moon or will the star stay close to the moon but always separated by a layer of clouds. Perhaps the star will continue what is best for it and in search for probably another star and keep the once in a lifetime moment deep down inside it... ..."

Finally range is over...yeah~ matthew, we passed the range! XD heheh...We "bobo" shooters sia...still can pass. lol. almost fell sick during range. Prolly not having enough water and tired both physically and mentally i guess. Lucky got 3 days off after that..take the time to rest though.

While waiting for our turns to go shoot the targets, think of many many things...tgt with matthew, we talked and talked lots of things. Everytime emo after talking...haha..

"Spent around 1 day just to reply a msg...think here and there....thoughts fly here fly there... head going to explode. Don't worry, its before i go for the shooting. finally the msg had been replied. Even though so, i somehow knew that once it was sent, things could start to go for a change...drastically, be it good or bad. But at least, i tried to make my point clear. Maybe that's one of my characteristics. Don't quite like the feeling of having something stucked up in the throat. Perhaps being straightforward can be a bad thing sometimes... so many wrong decisions made here and there, tried to salvage the situation time after time once a wrong decision was made, but somehow it seems to get worse. Time dragged me through over and over again... Everytime when things seem to have died down and life is the same as before, a glimpse of hope appeared. Perhaps, it might be a chance to continue, i thought...but each time it ended off again in a wrong decision... things had been going round in circles for quite sometime. till the msg had been sent, i don't hold too much hope anymore. but what else left were feelings hoping that things can be well and smooth for you, laughters and smiles always be there with you. as usual in the past, i will still try my best to help in anyway i can... ...even though like last time ended off unpleasant... but no matter what again, tried to help the most i could. maybe thats something strange abt me bah.. i often quarrel with my mum not wanting to do this and that, but in the end, i still did. Abnormal i think. Certain things felt so much liked to ask... but more or less the results would be what i can thought of. Maybe life really involved lots of risks-taking. The more i want it to be simple, it tends to get so so so complicated... ..."

...well, today was on off to recover myself more at home, spent a few hours too to do an illustration, Apper!

Sianz... really don't know what to say. So anyhow "bom" things up.

After parade go back camp then kena so many "arrows".. But better than nothing to do...haiz.. So many things to buy...a new monitor (currently using a very lok kok monitor which i need to bang a few times to get the screen working), a new ram........BUT so no $$!!

Want to start saving $$ for future use also, ugh! Feel like doing some freelance for T-shirts designs sia... I NEED $$... >.<" Anyone got lobang??

1st time running AHM (Army Half-Marathon), only running 10km for 1st year soldier... need to train...

Phew...finally, the parade is over. Tired..tired.. tired... ... BUT had so much fun during the trainings with the CSSCOM contigent people.. met some really funny guys and some really crap talking guys. Lol. (mostly talking crap though >.<) Well, so fast the parade over liao, remember when going in the parade square.. and now at home using the com.

Things had to come to a stop.. after all everyone is happy with the outcome =) "OUTSTANDING!"
